This is an abbreviated review of our Admissions policies and procedures; for a full discussion, see the school handbook or contact the school’s administration at 521.0860.

General Notes
  • No student may be excluded from JPIICS solely because of race, color, religion, gender, national origin or ancestry.
  • Admission and readmission are on an annual basis.
  • No child may be admitted to kindergarten at JPIICS unless s/he is five years of age on or before September 30 of the year of admittance.
  • No child may be admitted to first grade at JPIICS unless s/he is six years of age on or before September 30 of the year of admittance.
  • If there are more students than spaces in any grade level, administration and pastors will follow the priority system outlined in the handbook.
  • Please note that JPIICS does not accept registrations for non-parishioner eighth graders.

Registration
All registrations are subject to the approval of the respective Pastor and the Principal.

  • Students currently enrolled at JPIICS have the first opportunity to register for the following year.  (The school will manage these registrations.)
  • Registration will then open to families of the participating parishes who have not previously attended JPIICS. (This phase of registrations is done through the parishes.)
  • Finally, registration will open to families who are not active members of a participating parish. Interested families may contact the school to receive appropriate forms, letters, and dates of registration.
  • Registrations throughout the school year require the approval of the Principal and (where applicable) the respective parish pastor.

It is understood that JPIICS must be beneficial to the child seeking admission.

Families seeking admission for students in grades 4-8 are to complete the following procedures:

  1. Agree to a probationary period of one quarter.
  2. Submit a copy of a current report card.
  3. Participate in an interview appointment if requested.

It is understood that parents seeking the admission of their child(ren) to JPIICS agree to the regulations and policies of the school.

Parents or Guardians registering new student(s) for JPIICS, regardless of grade level, will be notified by the school of the acceptance or non-acceptance of their child(ren).
