About our Faculty

John Paul II Catholic School has a caring and highly qualified, fully certified faculty, committed to Catholic education. Approximately 1/2 of the faculty hold a master’s degree in education, and over 1/2 boast more than ten years experience. All religion teachers also achieve certification as catechists. All primary (K-2nd) grade teachers are trained in an effective phonics based reading strategy, Orton Gillingham.

Along with full-time teachers for art, music and physical education, our faculty includes a school librarian, nurse, school counselor, speech and one language specialist, one reading specialists, one math specialist, and two intervention specialists.

All faculty members are committed to increase their knowledge and stay current with the ever-changing trends in education; they regularly attend professional development to increase student learning.

In addition, all faculty and support staff are required to attend training for the Decree on Child Protection, maintain compliance with all SafeParish trainings, and background checks as required by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the Ohio Department of Education.
